After being forced off the air for a while, the Maple City Star is back with a new look.

This forum will allow interested people to meet and comment on local happenings. Membership will be open to Chatham-Kent residents. Please read the terms of use as you sign up. To activate an account you'll need a real email address, which is kept private. Your member profile allows you to determine what information the public will see - use your real name or screen name. Our own contact information is posted on the home page footer.

Given the current political climate, running a public forum is risky. Free speech is important, but it's in scarce supply in Chatham-Kent - where free thought is fraught with costly danger. We will not be responsible for content that may be posted on this forum, but please keep it respectful. Problematic posts may be edited or removed without prior warning, and persistent troublemakers may be blocked. Help keep the standards high and courteous on this site. The Moderator's say is final.
